Murals in the Market Block Party

Paxahau (producers of the annual Movement Music Festival) has teamed up with 1xRUN (producers of the annual Murals in the Market street art festival) and Detroit Hustles Harder to put together the first-ever Murals in the Market Family Reunion Block Party, taking place on Saturday, September 15 at Eastern Market (Division Street / Orleans Street). Featuring performances by the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Dez Andres (with a very Special Guest), Midnight Magic (live), Charlie of Soul Clap as Lonely C (live), Underground System (live), Eli of Soul Clap as Bamboozle (DJ set), Sheefy McFly, Count Mack and We Are Culture Creators.
The inaugural event will take place in the heart of Detroit’s historic Eastern Market District, and serves as the official kick-off for the Murals in the Market 10-day festival. In addition to music, attendees will have the opportunity to experience live mural painting by this year’s Murals in the Market participants, taking place across Eastern Market as well as family-friendly activities, food from local vendors, and much more.
